I've had the unit for 15 months and it work flawlessly, making numerous copies, burning new disc etc. but wouldn't you guess, it died after the warranty expired. I don't know if I would buy another one.

This unit was very easy to install in the Dell Dimension 4300 with no interferance. I tried the player out and it played a CD that my son had scratch so bad that the CD will not play in any other player. I plan on buying another to replace the DVD-CD burner in my Dell Dimension 8300. Pioneer has made a believer out of me. Thank Pioneer.

The DVD drive works fine. I used it without problems for recording on DVD-R media. But the software provided with this drive is a real bummer. It is one of those software bundles that replaces all your current defaults and existing programs. You expect to use the vendor's supplied software and drivers, but the supplied software replaces your existing defaults for viewing images, viewing videos, etc. It was a real pain removing all the extraneous software and returning my settings to what they ... Rating: - Works OK
The dvd works great on +R dvd DL but not at all on -R DVDs. Their fix doesn't work and support is spotty and so far not helpful.

Drive works great. The software is just "ok". I'd like to see Roxio or Nero in the bundle.
