Born in Rome into a working-class family, hunky Italian pop idol Eros Ramazzotti first made his mark following a move to Milano in the mid-eighties. His career really took off in 1984, after he won the category of "New Voice" at the influential San Remo Festival for his song Terra Promessa. As a singer-songwriter, he specializes in sweeping, passionate ballads and large-scale power-rock numbers and has racked up an impressive array of duets with other international favorites like Celine Dion, Cher, Portugese neo-fado sensation Dulce Pontes, Tina Turner and crossover mega-star Andrea Bocelli. A canny self-marketer with huge European following, especially in Germany, Ramazzotti records each of his albums in both his native tongue and in Spanish, a technique that has made him enormously popular in Central and South America. The voice, a polished yet endearingly up-front tenor, wrenches every drop of emotion from his lyrics, which tend toward the florid side. But if the man undeniably knows the meaning of a good hook, his songs are nonetheless anchored by an essential vulnerability that makes his work extremely appealing. --Christina Roden

Rating: out of 5 stars - NO MATTER THE LANGUAGE EROS SING!!!
ITALIAN, SPANISH OR ENGLISH. HE IS ONE OF THE BEST. I LOVE HIS MUSIC LYRICS ALWAYS HAVE A MESSAGE OF PEACE & LOVE. BRAVO EROS!

Rating: out of 5 stars - A biased review - I love Eros
Skeptics and neutrals be warned - in my books, Eros can do no wrong. Tu Sei puts a silly smile on my face, La Nostra Vita lifts my spirits, Sta Passando Novembre makes me cry, Non E Amore makes me think naughty thoughts about the singer. His albums are a staple in my CD player's daily diet.

Heaven on earth is being in the studio during Eros's recording session. Ok, not quite, but it gets close...

Rating: out of 5 stars - You feel his music... that's how great he is.
I love Eros!! I don't spealk italian but... i feel his music. Boy, what a voice. I own all his CDs. Love 'em all. Keep it coming E! Lailaa.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Another good one from Eros!
I live in New Zealand and no music stores stock Eros' music. I first heard him in Russia and have now been able to get all his albums thru amazon.com. I do not understand a word he says but the music, expression, beat and rhythm enhance my understanding. His sound is great!
Go hard bro'.

Rating: out of 5 stars - un classico
