Rating:  - Synopses waste of space
I love the X-Files, and I wanted to read more of the "backstory" of each episode.
Instead, most of the book is wasted on the synopses for each episode. Usually, 6 pages is wasted on the story summary, and only one page on the backstory.
We don't need 6 pages of story summary for each episode: we can watch that! Instead, give us more on the background!

Of course, I love this guide; has my favorite episode: Bad Blood. To tell you the truth I enjoy anything X-Files related so it's up to you to judge for yourself if you decide to buy. It seems they continue to improve as each guide comes out so I have nothing to complain about.
Very in depth with the details on each episode, and a whole bunch of black 'n' white pics. The thing is, if you buy this guide it would appear that you would have to buy the next one, makes sense Don't ya think? It continues, ... Read More

I was a bit disappointed with this book. I (of course) have the whole season 5 on tape and so the scripts were familiar to me. I'd have expected more "behind the scenes" info from this book. Good for those who don't have season 5 on tape or who are new to the X-Files world, but for me - not much new.

this is a book that has the SCRITS of all season 5 episodes! well not completelly every single word that was said but almost... cool pictures.. in black and white except 8 full page coloured ones! it's a great book to add to your x-file collection and it's a must have for all x-philers... but so are all the official guides...go on, buy them all! DO NOT LET THE X-FILES DIE FROM YOUR MEMORY! let the x-files accompany you in the rest of your life! GREAT book!

Resist or Serve is a teriffic book, and a must-have for any true X-Phile. It is a comprehensive, detailed Season Five episode guide, complete with color pictures and dialogue from Season Five episodes. It also has interviews with the cast and crew, Season Five ratings, and awards that The X-Files has won. I highly reccomend this book for any X-Files fan.
