Editorial Review: The 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup season kept the throttle wide open over 36 races, covering ten months, ten thousand laps, and 14,000 miles of door-to-door action. Thanks to NASCAR Images, race fans can now relive the season over and over in their very own homes. NASCAR Nextel Cup 2005 is a cinema-style experience that slows down just long enough for fans to relive the excitement of one of NASCARs most memorable seasons. From Jeff Gordons season-opening Daytona 500 victory to the ten-driver, ten-race pressure cooker of the Chase for the Nextel Cup. NASCAR Images cameras go behind the scenes and high above the action to capture the moments that powered the 2005 season from green flag to checkered. Jimmie Johnsons dominant spring stretch, Carl Edwards improbable Atlanta sweep, Tony Stewarts emotional Indianapolis victory, Dale Earnhardt Juniors breeze through the Windy City, every scintillating win and every heartbreaking loss. The tension builds as the final ten title contenders march toward the season finale at Homestead and NASCAR legends march toward the close of their storybook careers.

Rating: - Better, not great.
First of all, let me this out of the way: There was nothing wrong with the way these DVD were covering the season from 2003 back. Nothing wrong with looking at the season of racing as a season and not a showcase for chase drivers. Please go back to it.
Based on that, folks can take my review with a grain of salt or not.
My second problem is that there is double introduction, the second of which is painfully long and cliché ridden. So much so I had to turn off the TV twice. ... Read More
Rating: - Better than last year, but.....................
I am a HUGE NASCAR fan, so the purchase was a "no brainer" for me. I collect all the DVD's issued by NASCAR. It is better than last years format, but it lacks a true season review. When I think of a season review format, I tend to think of segments on each race. The DVD is basically broken down into various segments of teams and then subsequently drivers. During the season I taped the "Beyond The Wheel" series shown weekly on SPEED, so with that I truly have a "season review".
All in all, ... Read More
