It also enables easy VVoIP (voice and video over IP) via the integrated 1.3 megapixel CMOS camera with 225-degree rotation. The AS5672 has a bright 15.4-inch LCD that takes advantage of Acer's CrystalBrite set of display technologies, which provide great color saturation and excellent contrast in all environments. In addition to an integrated 54g wireless LAN, this notebook also includes Acer's SignalUp technology--a super-efficient antenna is built into the case, creating an omni-directional sphere that extends signal range and quality.
It's powered by Intel's new, groundbreaking processor--the powerful Core Duo T2300--which provides an optimized, multithreaded architecture for improved gaming and multitasking performance and a more efficient power consumption. The dual execution core T2300 has a 1.67 GHz processor speed and 2 MB L2 cache. The Basics

The Intel Core Duo processor has two computational execution cores in a single processor, providing greater system response when running multi-threaded applications simultaneously with no significant increase in power consumption. It's optimized for multitasking and is ready to support the next version of Microsoft Windows, code-named Vista. It can simultaneously run multiple demanding applications--such as graphics-intensive games or serious number-crunching business productivity applications--while downloading music or running virus-scanning security programs in the background. It's more efficient, thanks to Intel's Power Coordination and Deeper Sleep, which help to transfer power only to those areas of the processor that need it. Connectivity and Expansion Slots
The AS5672 features an integrated PRO/Wireless 3945ABG wireless LAN that's compatible with 802.11b/g networks (commonly found in home routers and wi-fi hotspots) as well as 802.11a networks (which has a higher throughput, but more limited range--great for closed office environments). It also offers Acer's SignalUp technology for enhanced antenna efficiency. With the Bluetooth wireless connectivity, you can synchronize and transfer files between the PC and peripherals such as cell phones and PDAs. I had to return two of these machines. After downloading windows updates, the machine would loop through the rebooting process, asking whether you wanted to start in Safe Mode...Normal Mode. No matter what choice I used, the computer would start booting, blue-screen for about a quarter-second and then reboot. I was really sad to have to return this machine, as there's nothing else I've seen that has the size and specs as this one does for under $2,500.

Sorry, I can't get technical here but I did purchase this notebook from Amazon a couple of weeks ago and I think it's a very good buy. I knew enough to realize that the specs/dollar ratio was very high. The unit is very sturdy and I find the keyboard has a great feel of quality and placement. The left front of the base does get warm and if it stays on for awhile, (hours), the touch pad gets quite warm. But I purchased a wireless mouse and for me it's a perfect setup. I picked up one of these as a gift for my Wife, who occasionally needs to go online but can't always work at a desktop. When I saw the specs on this laptop, I had to pull the trigger and get one. It's been the best purchase I've made in quite awhile.
