Rating: out of 5 stars - Great PC for the Price
I bought this PC thru HP's refurb site, paying $599 ($669 with s/h & tax). Have had it a couple months, with no problems and only one complaint. I bought it because all the new models shipped with Vista and I wanted to wait a while before jumping to Vista.

When I booted it the first time, I was presented with a screen that asked if I wanted to load the base system, restore the base system, or seal for the end customer. It looked like the final setup hadn't been completed; I selected ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Good computer at a great price.
I am an experienced user and I had a good idea of what I wanted in my new machine. This machine fit my needs almost exactly with a dual processor, 2 gigs of memory, a good sized hard drive and the lightscribe DVD/CD drive. I already had a 19" LCD monitor and all the external accessories I need so this one without a monitor or printer fit my needs. I was skeptical at first about the media center version of windows xp but I soon found it's advantages and now use it alot. Other than it seemed to need ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Fine product
I don't know how to use many of the computer's features but what I do works fine. Support service was excellent. I'd recommend this unit.

Rating: out of 5 stars - not bad for an HP
PLUS: For the price, this is a pretty good box. The x2 4200+ is fast, and the 2gigs RAM help applications fly along. The load times for files and movies is extremely good. Multitasking programs is amazing on this machine, you can do 5 things at once with minimal slowdown. The CD reading/writing is extremely fast and easy. Have not tried the lightscribe yet.

Minuses: this computer had was the integrated graphics card, and is a CPU socket 939 rather than an AM2. And you can't overclock ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Great system!
I'll begin by saying this is my first time I've bought a computer that I have not put together myself. Last year, I purchased an HP laptop, and have been very satisfied with it and decided to go ahead and give it a try with this one.
I purchased this particular product at the begging of June, so I've had some time to get to know what it can do and how well I like it.
The system so far has been great. The system is fast and that is saying quite a bit as my other computer is only slightly over ... Read More
