I have nothing to compare this to, it is my first Docking Station.
What I like:
*The remote works through walls and I can carry the lightweight little remote with me with the included neck strap and change to the next song or pause if I want.
*It was easy to set up and get working
*It sounds pretty good if you connect directly to the stereo instead of the provided cables

I was looking for a fairly simple dock to connect my iPod Touch to my home audio system for audio only, and this is just fine for that. It doesn't say it's compatible with the Touch, and for video it's not, but that's not what I wanted it for anyway. The audio hookup is through the red and white phono plugs, which sounds better than the single minijack like in the Apple dock and several others, the remote works fine for pausing or skipping song to song from a good distance (at least 40'--I don't ... Product works well. Volume on receiver needs to be very high for iPod to be heard. RF remote actually works quite well.

Th product works as advertised. I'm able to control my IPOD's volume and song from just about anywhere in my house. I would have given it a higher rating but the remote seems to go through batteries when not being used. I have to remove the battery from the remote so it's not dead on the next use.
