Rating: out of 5 stars - "Not in My Backyard"
I am dissatisfied in the extreme with any version of Ubuntu or Suse Linux. For two years, I have been using Mandriva (used to be Mandrake) Linux with great success.
I ordered the latest Ubuntu disc and tried to install it MANY times; and in many different configurations. It seems to start working and then ... ZAP .. it freezes up completely. It doesn't matter if one is trying to do a full installation to hard disk or a quickie installation so that the program runs of its own CD ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Ubuntu is the best OS money CAN NOT get
Kubuntu is just ubuntu with a little differences, since it uses KDE instead of Gnome. It as good as ubuntu, of course. Loaded with apps, fast, easy to install and use, and all for free. Did i mention that it has no viruses or spyware at all? try it and be impressed.

Kubuntu is based on a Linux interface called KDE ("Kool Desktop Environment"). It resembles and functions like the ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Good Operating System
I find this a pretty good operating system. I find microsoft is getting to expensive. I have been learning kubuntu. It works fine. A few things it lacks but most work just fine. I like the Open Office org a great equal to microsoft office and Free.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Good Linux Distribution
This is a decent version of Linux. I have had to reinstall it once due to me changing the resolution for a new L.C.D. Monitor. I have tried Fedora before and had a pretty good time with that. The reason why I switched from Fedora was Windows crashed on me and I tried reloading Fedora and Windows had problems booting. It was weird because Fedora worked the first time I installed it. I decided to try Kubuntu out and have KDE, instead of having GNOME like I had in Fedora. I have been using Kubuntu for ... Read More
