The "Live In London" project is the most splendid live recording I've ever seen & heard. This young Lady's voice is just pleasing to the ear. You've got to hear her on the title track of Herbie Hancock's album "The River". I've also heard a remake of Denise William's old school tune " Free"on sirius radio (jazz cafe)lately,that has to be CBR doing that tune.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!.....IF YOU DON'T KNOW, THIS "BEAUTIFUL" YOUNG LADY IS THE REAL DEAL. AFTER WATCHING THE DVD OF HER LIVE IN CONCERT I WAS JUST BLOWN AWAY AS I WAS THE VERY FIRST TIME I SAW SADE IN CONCERT. I'D PUT HER RIGHT UP THERE WITH SADE, MAYBE EVEN BETTER, IF YOU HAVE'NT SEEN OR HEARD HER SING,YOU NEED TO.

As youthful as she is, Ms. Rae has the poise, sophistication and soul of seasoned performer. Yet, she balances that with charm and innocence. Her singing voice cannot be matched. The almost perfect control of her modulation,pitch,timing,and range are evident from her choice of material. The only difficulty I have is: what musical genre is she in? Rating: - On a Big Screen TV It's Almost Like You Are Right There
I like live performances in small venues and this DVD captured it. I found it interesting though that the crowd in London seemed so reserved. I was screaming and I was just watching the DVD. The American crowd on the Live CD in NY was more of what I'm used to.
If you are a fan of Corraine then this a great thing to have. Just remember to watch the DVD on a big screen.

Corinne Bailey Rae should record all her albums live. It gives off a vibe of the cool Jazz Singer in front of the cafe. Flawless, natural, soulful voice. The positive and upbeat version of Billie Holliday.
