Sangean's RCR-22 Clock Radio is the atomic clock radio you can set once and forget. It connects to the atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado to set the most accurate time available. Once the clock is set you can program the dual alarms to wake to your favorite AM or FM station. I have had my Sangean RCR-22 for about 10 months now and I absolutely love it! I took a long while to choose a replacement for my Oregon Scientific Atomic Radio Alarm Clock (which I would rate mediocre) because I wanted to make sure I didn't repeat the same mistakes that I made buying that one (bad radio and BRIGHT display).

I'm on my second RCR-22 and still don't have one that works properly. The first unit's atomic clock set nicely but the time zone switch didn't work. The clock would stay set to MST no matter which time zone was selected or DST switched on and off and since I live on the East coast this was a 2 hour deal breaker. Rating: - no AM radio alarm
manual is almost useless, and the wake to radio will not work on the AM side unless you have a REAL good signal, i had to return it because i set it to wake to radio and it would just go to buzzer because in the manual it said it will just use the buzzer if the signal is not strong enough , the radio station came in fine but it still when to the buzzer, and all radio alarms should be made to go to buzzer after 5 to 10 min my 20 year old GE does that .

It's a clock radio and does everything a modern clock radio should do, including accurately set its own time and have a digital tuner. It's hard to get excited about a clock radio at this level.
