Even though My so-called was canceled in the first season I still think it was an awesome show, and I would have loved it if it would have aired for a few more seasons...I guess it came out at the wrong time.

Read most of the reviews on this site. Most mention the acting or Claire Danes. To me what set this series apart from anything else is the members of the cast they addded. Jeff Perry who played Mr. Katimski, Lisa Waltz who played Hallie Lowenthal and Senta Mosses who played Delia Fisher all came on this show after it had already had at least 5 epsidoes. I used to love MSCL so I am glad to have it on DVD, however the picture quality is on the grainy side and it does not look very good on my 42 inch HDTV.

i loved my so-called life when it first came out and had not seen it in years. although some of the episodes are a bit cornier than i remember, i still really enjoyed watching it. it really brought me back to my days as a teen and all the big emotions that go along with that time. claire danes really steals the show as angela, and wilson cruz's character, rickie, still speaks to me as a gay man who once struggled with my identity. if you liked the show the first time around, get this box set.
