I bought this product a few months ago and am still satisfied. Personally, I barely ever use my mic on my Xbox, and so when I need to get a message to someone I generally type it out. With this chatpad, I can now do so at about the same speed that I text at, which can be quite fast. It fits the controller amazingly well and doesn't change the feel of the controller in your hands at all. I was amazed at how well it fits!!!

Hate asking for a game invite and having to record a message? Hate typing in codes one letter at a time with an on-screen keyboard? Hate the onscreen keyboard?
This fixes that. I even like the way the controller fits your hands better with it on.

The chatpad is really nice to have occasionally, since the interface to type in letters otherwise is pretty clunky. It's especially nice to type in things like DLC codes. But unless your friends don't have headsets, you won't be using it a lot. So it's hard to justify (...) unless you needed another (...) headset.
If you need a 1 year Xbox Live subscription renewal, there's a kit with this, the 12 month Live card, and a racing game that's a much better value.

If you're tired of using the on-screen keyboard and have a bunch of friends on your list, this is a must for you, especially if you're a chathead on Xbox Live managing a large friends list.
