I am very pleased with the BitDefender antivirus,antispyware software purchased from Amazon. It installed flawlessly on my multiple computers, having multiple operating systems. BitDefender perfoms a full scan nightly, and frequently leaves me with a morning message listing trojans and spyware which evaded Yahoo's defenses and were found and removed by Bitdefender. I feel that the small added price to upgrade to 3 computers was a real bargin.

Rating: - Computer boots faster
My 2008 Norton A/V intolerably slowed down booting both a desktop and a laptop, and occasionally caused them to run slowly. The virus scans were also time consuming.
So, based on user reviews, I decided to try the bitdefender. While I don't know how it compares to the Norton in ferreting out problems, it sure speeded up the computers, and does a full scan in about half the time. I had the Kasper ski anti virus and when the license ran out, I decided to try this product. First off the download was really easy. Insert the disk and follow the prompts. I also like the fact that it is updated every hour and when it does, no programs or computer speed is affected. This is in my opinion the best anti virus software for price charged.
Rating: - Very good Anti-Virus
I compared several major name and lesser know virus protectors prior to choosing to purchase this one. Those I settled purchasing were Kaspersky Anti-Virus and BidDefender Anti-virus. Both products performed better then anything I tested or evaluated from the big name companies and having worked in tech support; I am very careful about checking to be sure that my protection software does not prevent me from working. Historically, Norton and McAfee were system resource hogs.

Rating: - pleased with bit defender
I ordered Bit Defender after reading a review in PC magazine that rated it way above Norton. It was time to renew my Norton and I was looking for an alternative as I was tired of being alerted so much just to find out that they were trying to sell me an upgrade or something else. Bit Defender was so easy to install, and unobtrusive to operate. The price was much lower than Norton and I got two years on three PC's for less than Norton's one year offer. I have no problem recommending this product.
