I have had my eee 4g surf for over a month and I like it very much. It connects to the internet superfast and i can take it anywhere. The keyboard is cramped, yes, but you get used to it. Its a mini laptop for basic tasks such as e-mail, messenger and surfing the internet.

I am a Mac user and consider myself technically challenged. I bought the 4G Surf model to use mostly for a portable writing device and for emails. I wanted something with a keyboard that was bigger than any
PDA on the market. (I hate thumb texting.) I also wanted something that would easily fit in my daily-use tote bag. This item is great for someone who wants to access email while on the road, surf the internet and work on some files. It is very light weight. If your not familar with Linux then there is a learning curve. That for me was the only down side. Battery life is approx. 2 hrs on a full charge. Boots quickly and screen quality is great.

I bought this product for my wife (she is in sales) and she loves it. The only drawback I can find deals with my complete ignorance of the operating system (Linux). The system runs great...but I have no idea how to update it or even link it to my home network (windows). Each time I try to read up on it...I come away more confused.
