I have used Roxio Media Creator over the years and have watched it deteriorate from a decent product to a confusing product to a buggy product and now a nonfunctional product. The latest version will not even install on my Vista computer. Will have to run it slowly on my old XP machine and wait. Their licensing is also a pain as any new user has to go through their licensing agreement before using every module. I will be looking elsewhere next time.

These program will irritate the hell of you when transferring VHS to DVD. Useless.
Ripping is good only on 1 cd the next one won't work. (need to buy something extra).
These program will be mostly use for copying, playing music, not Video transfer.
But if I could return it after 1 week of frustration, I will stay away from this program. Useless.

It did take a while to install, but is easy to use and makes pretty good videos. I have burned 3 discs, about 6 hrs of video, my first day! It does take awhile to record video, because it actually has to play to record it. Overall it has been a great tool so far to convert old family videos from vhs to DVD!

If your PC is a plain vanilla PC like mine DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT for VHS to DVD transfers. Did you hear me? DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FOR VHS TO DVD transfers.
My PC is a plain vanilla Dell Dimension PC (recent XP clean install with all MS updates) Pentium 4 - 2 gig CPU with factory 512 meg memory. It has nothing on it but Microsoft XP and MS Office software, Quick Books and Norton Anti-Virus 2005. That's it.

None of the Roxio products I bought in the past have ever worked as advertised. Tech support did not solve the problems I encountered with crashing, locking up, and overall poor performance.
