I purchased this watch on clearance at a local Wal-Mart and got another for my friend. The one that workedm did so wonderfully. It has a good clear easy to understand interface, and it's backlit. The watch in and of itself was a bit bulky, but 'futuristic' looking. The battery on one of the watches died after 1 week. YES ONE WEEK!!! I tried calling the company where I was put on hold (I timed it) for over 45 minutes. I explained the problem and sure enough they took down my info and I was told to expect a replacement battery within a month. A month passed. No battery. I called again, was put on hold for another 30+ minutes and told I would have to buy a battery. I explained what had happened, but that made no difference. 3 years have passed and I have this cute pair of watches that serve nop purpose other than to look cute. The batteries these come with is IMPOSSIBLE to find unless you go through the company. This is probably (right after PNY technology) the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECIEVED. Good product, hit and miss, but what does one expect for 40 bucks? I'm actually going to order mine through amazon so I can be assured I won't have to deal with Xact in any way. Hope this was helpful.

This item was ordered for my son for Christmas, which we had away from home at my son's grandmother's house. When wrist communicators came, we tried to charge the batteries. One of them charged just fine, and the other did not charge at all. We switched communicators, and found that the good battery worked in both and the bad battery worked in neither. Since we were away for Christmas, we called the company, were on hold for 20 minutes, then told them the problem and that we needed a new battery sent to our home address. They took down the address and said they would send it. When we returned home from our trip, no battery had arrived. The company then left a number on my mother's voice mail (where we were for Christmas,) and said they needed info on where to send the battery. She called and told me about the message, and I called the company again, and after a half hour on hold, I hung up. I have decided to return the item to Amazon, and buy my son something else to replace it.

These are gifts for grandsons, unused to date. Information on website indicated that an extended warranty is available for purchase but I found no way to order the warranty. Please advise me as to availability and cost.
