Customer Reviews
Rating: out of 5 stars - Decent case.
I got this case for a gaming PC I was building. The picture is a little deceiving, this case is HUGE. The front door is plastic with flimsy little plastic arms holding it. The side bottom vents have fins that light up but they're held in place with fairly weak glue. One of them broke off when I was wiring it to the motherboard.

All in all, it's a decent case but you can find ones that are just as good for cheaper.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Don't buy this case
The door of the front is beatifull but only works for 3 moths and later case in the bulk and anything solution posible , beware this case, the others reviews say is marvelous only the first moths

Rating: out of 5 stars - Ridiculously nice looking case but
This is by far the nicest looking case in the industry. It was featured in several movies and shows such as Law & Orders because its trendy and sexy design.
If you look around those companies who make high quality computer cases, you can name only few of them. My top 3 are Silverstone, Lian Li and Cooler Master.
Their products receive many positive reviews stating that it's besting looking case (Cosmos) or best quality case but to be honest, they are all boxy looking. There's no "design" involved.

What did involve is engineering but seriously don't tell me their products are nice looking because it equals to compliment a school bus nice looking. Those cases made by Silverstone or Lian Li are typical concept that you'd learn in design 101 "the form follows the function" but they are far behind nice looking.

Asus Vento on the other hands hits the spot where form outplays the function but doesn't overkill. I believe that's why it was so beloved in movie and fashion industry. However, nice looking usually sacrifices other aspects and in this case it sacrifices functionalities.

1. The hard drive rack basically stacks two HDDs together without space to have airflow. If you have two raptors, you are in trouble.
2. The space between PCI-E and Hard Drive rack is tight. I have to unplug HDD cables in order to squeeze in the 8800GTS 512mb and there's no space between those two components after I secured the 8800GTS. I kinda forgive Asus since when they created this case, the biggest card was X850 and they didn't see graphic card size would increase that fast.
3. No cable management. The shape or the case limits Vento to have another layer to route cables. Like I said, nice looking comes with a price.
4. You need a left angle power core (available in Radio Shack) to connect to the PSU if you want to attach the Vento cable management piece on its back. The regular powercore won't fit. I don't see Asus could possibily find any excuse for designing something won't fit other than being stupid.

Conclusion:

I really love this case because I'm a visual person and I believe most gamers are. I'd sacrifice certain functionalities for better look and that's one of the reasons I can't stand cases like Apevia Curiser, Sunbeam transformer or some NZXT creations because they are just ugly. But I guess this where makes this case controversial because it does overlook several key elements that gamers need to have. When I built systems later using cases such as Lian Li 1100, Antec P182 and Cosmos, they make me think Asus Vento is the girl you want to go out with but those are you want to marry.

Rating: out of 5 stars - eye candy
The case itself is an eye candy, I have the red Vento and the paint is very glossy and thats what makes this case attractive and the inside is pretty roomy for huge motherboards and SLI setups. The vents is not just for looks but functional as well as one fan sucks air in and another blows out air from back vent. I have this case for about a month now and it is the main center attention in my room.
