Customer Reviews
Rating: - pretty good actually =)
i was kind of skeptikal about buying this product after seeing that it had no charge port, but after reciving a cheap bootleg case for a product that promised to be better, i decided to go with this shell. i was very pleased with it. the plastic is VERY hard and protects the 2G nano well. the beltclip was the best part of it though, also very sturdy. my only reservation for this case is that since it fits first and second generation nanos it's not shaped to any perticular design and alot of dust gets into the edges of the case, leaving some scratching and a little chipping on the top and bottom of the nano. all in all 4 stars because it simply works......and it looks pretty cool (compliments guarentee!)
Rating: - Rugged, but could use some improvements.
As noted in a previous review, you can't charge the iPod while it's in this case. The case itself though, is extremely thick plastic, and fits a bit tighter than I'd like. I haven't dropped it yet (give me a few minutes), but I'm sure it'll protect my nano (iPod, that is! ;) ) I tried using a pair of wire cutters to cut out a slot for the charging cord, but it's too thick. Also, even though there's a hole for the HOLD button, I have to use the nail of my pinkie finger to switch it on/off because it's a deep hole due to the thickness of the plastic.
I like that it comes with two options: a flat back and a belt-clip back. The flat back has no way to attach the iPod to anything. The belt-clip back only fits one way. I like to put the clip on upside-down, so that the iPod is inside my pocket and I can reach the wheel with just my thumb. When you have the clip right-side up, you have to clip it to your belt, which makes you look like one of the geeks in "office space" who have phones, pagers and PDAs clipped to their belts. Gangsta!
My case for my old nano was much better; it had a sturdy clip and could go on either way, but I think they're out of business.
Rating: - All Scuffed up
Opened the package and there were scuff marks over it. I thought it would wipe off but doesn't. If I didn't know any better I'd say it was used. Also have to remove from case to sync.
Rating: - No Opening to Sync/Charge
Major flaw is you have to take it out of the case to sync/charge your iPod!
